What is Go Find It?

Go Find It helps shoppers find items inside the store faster. Type an item — or paste a whole list — and see which department, aisle, and shelf to walk to, with a suggested route through the store.

Go Find It is an independent prototype. It is not affiliated with, approved by, or connected to Instacart, GFS, Gordon Food Service, or any store brand. Locations are community-maintained and may occasionally be out of date — the feedback buttons help fix them.

How to use it

1. Search one item — type a name like “heavy cream” and go.
2. Paste a shopping list — one item per line; you get a route through the store with everything grouped by department.
3. Upload a screenshot (beta) — pick a screenshot of your item list and the app reads the item names right in your browser.
4. Review before searching — check the suggested item lines and remove anything that isn’t a product.
5. Tap the feedback buttons — “Found it” or “Wrong location” takes one second and keeps the guide accurate for everyone.

Privacy

• Screenshots never leave your browser. The text reading (OCR) runs on your device; no image is uploaded or stored.
• The app never asks for your Instacart login and does not connect to Instacart in any way.
• No customer names, delivery addresses, phone numbers, or order IDs are collected — please don’t type them into searches or feedback.
• Feedback is anonymous — there are no accounts and no sign-in.
• No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting. The app keeps only anonymous, aggregate usage counts (like “how many searches happened today”) to improve the guide.
• Searches that find nothing are saved as item names only, so missing items can be added to the guide.
